.
Out of District: If you live within the city limits of Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, Greer, or outside of Greenville County, you are “Out of District.”
.
Why make the distinction between “In District” and “Out of District?”
.
People who are “In District” support the Greenville County Recreation District through their property taxes; however, people who live outside of Greenville County or within the city limits of Greenville, Mauldin, Simpsonville, or Greer do not support the Recreation District through their property taxes. As a result, “In District” residents receive a discount on many of the programs offered by the Recreation District.
