GCRD offers recreational activities and programs including seasonal & cultural events, sports, outdoor recreation, after school programs, senior programs, day camps, and programs for youth and adults with special needs and disabilities.

Each year the Recreation District offers a menu of special seasonal and cultural events that have wide appeal to all populations. Families with young children especially enjoy events like the annual spring Easter Extravaganza and Enchanted Tracks, held in October. Preschoolers and their families will want to celebrate the opening day for George the Train. Our senior citizens get involved with the annual Sport Classic and various fun walks throughout the year.
