The Greater Greenville Senior Sports Classic is in its twenty first year and is expecting over 200 participants. It provides an opportunity for persons 50 and over to compete in Olympic-style athletic games, as well as, enjoy a variety of recreational experiences.
The primary goals of the Greater Greenville Senior Sports Classic are to promote the importance of regular exercise in every individual’s plan for health, to maintain and improve the health and wellness of senior adults, and to increase public awareness of senior activities. With the help of local non-profit agencies, sponsorships, and volunteers, our goals are met and appreciated by the senior community yearly.
DATES: April 16-20, 2012
LOCATIONS: Greater Greenville area.
EVENTS:
Basketball Free Throw, 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Disc Golf, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Track & Field, Horseshoes, Bowling, Racquetball, Miniature Golf, Shuffleboard, Weightlifting, Spin Casting, Billiards, Checkers, and the “Parade of Athletes” Luncheon and Awards Presentation
