Water Conservation and Composting
May 9 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Water is a precious resource, and we will discuss ways to ensure we are using only what we need in our gardens. We will cover how to know when to water, the best methods of watering, and ways to reduce the frequency of watering our raised beds. We also share compost in our gardens so we will talk about what we can compost and how to care for and use this shared resource.
Free to garden members
$5 for non-members
$6 for non-members out of county
This class us part of the Sustainable Gardening Series. Community Garden members and the public are invited to attend classes on the first Tuesday of each month. They’re based on the American Community Gardening Association’s series, Environmental Education in the Community Garden, and also draw upon the knowledge of local experts and resources. They will cover a variety of topics from gardening basics for the newest gardeners to trap crops, beneficial insects and organic pest control. Choose just one or attend them all!
