Sports tourism generates tourism dollars for Greenville County businesses. Here’s a look at some of the tournaments Greenville County is hosting this summer!
NAIA Lacrosse Invitation
For the second year in a row, Sirrine Stadium will host the 2nd NAIA Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse Invitation. The tournament will open May 3rd with sixteen teams competing, concluding with championship games on Saturday, May 6. The public is invited to attend free of charge. South Carolina Shootout:
Greenville County is hosting the 6th annual South Carolina Shootout at MeSA Soccer Complex. The event will be held June 2-4 and is expected to host 100 teams. The tournament is held every other year in Greenville County. In 2015, the tournament brought close to 95 teams to the area and produced $1.7 million in estimated economic impact. We are very excited to have NXT Lacrosse back to Greenville County this year for the South Carolina Shootout and already looking forward to having them back in 2018!

Black Bear Classic:
Prospect Select Baseball is returning to the upstate this year to hold the 4th annual Black Bear Classic. The tournament will run from June 21st to June 25, 2017 for its 3rd year in Greenville County. The Classic plays on 12 fields throughout the upstate including Conestee Park and Northwest Park. Last year the tournament brought over 130 teams to the upstate and $2 million in estimated economic impact. We are very excited to have them back in Greenville County this year!
