Year Round Activities

After School Program

This program, for youth ages 5-18, meets throughout the school year and exists to promote the entire child by offering educational and recreational amenities. In addition to tutoring, games and sports participants enjoy: Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, self defense classes, dance, story hour with the Greenville Library System, cooking workshops, parent’s night, and the young adult exercise and walking club.  For more information click here.

An Afterschool Program for middle school students combines education and recreation and features “ We Teach”, Basic Family Life Skills, Career Development, and much more. For more information click here.

Registration for After School Programs is accepted throughout the year as space is available. Registration fee is $25.  Monthly fee is $50 for elementary and $20 for middle school. School District bus drop-off is available from Grove Elementary School and Hughes Middle. GCRD bus transportation is available from Robert E. Cashion, Sara Collins,Thomas C. Kerns, Sue Cleveland and Blythe Elementary Schools for an additional $50 per month.

Summer Vacation Program
Summer Day Camps for grades K-5 through 8th grade will be held June 13 – August 5 (no camp on July 4, 2011).   Registration will begin in April.

Senior Citizen Programs
The seniors meet during the school year Monday – Wednesday for camaraderie, fun, and learning and hot lunches provided by Senior Action.   Activities include Book Review time, exercise and board games, crafts, and monthly luncheons.

Athletics Programs
Basketball for ages 5-12
Soccer: Spring and fall leagues offered
