Sylvia Vandross has worked with the Recreation District for 20 years. Sylvia worked at Mt. Pleasant as assistant for 10 years before coming to Sterling as assistant in 1996. She became the Sterling Center Manager in 2008.

Assistant Manager:

Andrae Sherman, a College Of Charleston graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Corporate Communication joined the Rec District in 2009 as the Assistant Manager at Sterling after working in both the public and private sectors. His experience includes managing both youth and community programs in Charleston and Greenville since 2001. He is a native of Greenville and enjoys writing, listening to music, playing basketball & football, as well as spending time with his son Drasen.
