American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course – Full Course

This course offers participants the opportunity to receive a 2-year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED.  Participants must be able to pass a pre-requisite swimming skills evaluation in order to participate in the full lifeguard course.  Participants must bring a suitable swimsuit (girls – no 2 piece bathing suits), towel, and required class materials to all sessions.  Classes fill quickly, so enroll early!!! Registration forms can be faxed to Westside Aquatic Complex along with a copy of a signed waiver form.  A non-refundable fee of $25 is required at time of registration in order to reserve a spot.

Lifeguard Prep

Westside Aquatic Complex offers Lifeguard Preparation classes to help you get ready for the Lifeguard Certification Course. You will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Lifeguard Instructor who will coach you through the skills required in the pre-requisite session. The cost is $15 for one 40 minute session. Sessions are by appointment only. Missed appointments will not be refunded. Appointments may only be rescheduled outside of 24 hours from the time of the appointment. Signed Waiver forms MUST accompany all Registration Form.

Ideal for Scouts, outdoor enthusiast, or employees in remote environments an hour or more from EMS response.  This 16 hour course will give you the skills and confidence you need to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed.  Must be 14 years of age or older.

• Dates:  January 26 – 27

• Times:  8:30am – 5:30pm

• Location:  Conestee Park (840 Mauldin Road, Greenville, SC 29607)

• Cost:  $125.00  ($100.00 with In District discount)

Prerequisite:  Adult CPR

Learn how to recognize and respond appropriately to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies.  Be prepared to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.  Participants must be 15 years old or older. Session 1:
