American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Course

This course offers participants the opportunity to receive a 2-year certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR/AED. Participants must be able to pass a pre-requisite swimming skills evaluation in order to participate in the full lifeguard course. Classes fill quickly, so enroll early!!!

Click here for more information. Registration forms can be faxed in to Westside Aquatic Complex along with a copy of a signed waiver form. A non-refundable fee of $25 is required at time of registration in order to reserve a spot.

American Red Cross Lifeguard Update (certifications must be current)*

The American Red Cross Lifeguard Update course will offer the participant the opportunity to opportunity to update their current Lifeguard certifications to the new American Red Cross Lifeguard material, released January 30, 2012. Updated certifications will be good for 2 years and include Lifeguarding, First-Aid, and CPR/AED (Pro) for Lifeguards. Participants must be able to pass a pre-requisite swimming skills evaluation in order to participate in the lifeguard update course. Classes fill quickly, so enroll early!!!

Lifeguard Prep

Westside Aquatic Complex offers Lifeguard Preparation classes to help you get ready for the Lifeguard Certification Course. You will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Lifeguard Instructor who will coach you through the skills required in the pre-requisite session. The cost is $15 for a 40 minute session. Sessions are by appointment only. Missed appointments will not be refunded. Appointments may only be rescheduled outside of 24 hours from the time of the appointment.
