Mountain Bike Camp

Do you have adventurous kids who want to hit the trails? This camp is designed to teach them how to handle all that our local mountain bike trails have to offer.

For both of the camp options below, the following equipment is required:

  • Well-functioning mountain bike (a BMX style bike will not work for the terrain we will be covering)
  • Helmet
  • Full lunch with 2 snacks and water bottle each day
  • Sunscreen

Please see the descriptions below to find the camp best for your child!

So you have this awesome mountain bike; what next?  This three day camp is designed to teach basic mountain bike skills: shifting, bike anatomy, climbing, etc. We will use the trails and challenges at Gateway Park to instruct the campers, which culminates on Friday with a trip to the Town Creek Bike Park in Pickens.

Eligible Ages: 6 – 10

Schedule: July 19th – 21st, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Check the agenda for full details.

Cost: $100

You have conquered a lot of our local trails and now you want a true test. This week-long camp is built to test your limits and help you surpass them. We will use the trails and challenges of Gateway Park to get ready for our 3 or 4 trips during the week.

We will look at trails like Dupont State Forest, the  Issaqueena trails, and possibly The Tsali trails system near Lake Fontana.  Admission to this camp will require the rider to complete a questionnaire about their riding experience.

Eligible Ages: 9 – 13

Schedule: July 24th – 28th, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Check the agenda for full details.

Cost: $160
