Community Centers:  Gyms, Activity Rooms, Shelters, & Meeting Rooms:

Mt. Pleasant, Sterling, Slater Hall,  Brutontown, and Freetown offer gyms ideal for parties, receptions, athletic events and activity rooms for smaller gatherings like showers and birthdays.   Mt. Pleasant’s facilities are suitable for groups of up to 150.  The historic Sterling gym is a favorite among Sterling High School alumni for reunions.  Piney Mountain and Woodfield offer activity rooms that can accommodate up to 50 people.

Greenville Rec offers large and small shelter rentals at many of the parks in the District.  Click on the park below that your are interested in to visit that park’s page.  There you will find all of the shelter rental information you need, as well as, that park’s amenities and directions.

Please note that payment in full is due at the time of reservation and shelter rentals may not be made any earlier than January 1st for the given year.  For example, if you would like to reserve a shelter for July 7, 2013, you must wait until January 1st, 2013 to make the reservation.

The Pleasant Ridge Camp & Retreat Center is nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains conveniently located off of Highway 25 between Greenville, SC and Asheville, NC.  Pleasant Ridge is an excellent location for family reunions, corporate retreats, weddings, youth retreats, and other group outings.

Conestee Park

Organizations who would like to hold races as fundraisers may do so at the new Conestee Park and Lake Conestee Nature Park. To facilitate this, Greenville Rec created three courses including a 5K, 8K, and 10K.

Greenville Hospital System Swamp Rabbit Trail

The Greenville Hospital System Swamp Rabbit Trail can be utilized for events; however, all events require prior approval and a permit.  Please review the Event Guideline document at the top of the page and complete either the Major or Minor Event permit.

Completed in 2012, Conestee Park is one of the premier baseball facilities in the southeast.  Conveniently located off Interstate 85, it features three full size 60-90 diamonds, including an 8,000 seat stadium – the former home of the minor league Greenville Braves.  There are also two immaculate youth diamonds on site, along with a two-story press building, parking for over 700 vehicles, and 6+ miles of natural trails within the park.

Is soccer, lacrosse, or football more your speed?  Our MESA Park features 16 multi-purpose, lighted, rectangular fields, and parking for 1,250 vehicles.  If you are interested in bringing your sporting event to Conestee Park, MESA, or any one of our other parks in Greenville County, contact Sports Tourism Manager Jeff Poole for more information.
