Have Your Child Unplug and Make Friends at Camp

If you ever attended camp as a child, you know how essential it is to building independence, confidence, and lasting friendships. Whatever your reasons, sending your child to camp is a great way to help them grow and learn about themselves.

Greenville County Rec’s camps are offered at various locations throughout Greenville County, staffed by individuals trained to recognize the needs of your child. Explore the list below to see what camps are available, and click on the camp to learn more:

Community Center Icon

Community Center Camps

  • Duration: June 15 – August 7 (closed July 3)
  • Location: Brutontown, Freetown, Mt. Pleasant, Slater, Sterling, Staunton Bridge, and Phillis Wheatley Community Centers
  • Ages: 6 – 11
Teen Leadership Icon

Community Center Teen Leadership Camps

  • Duration: June 15 – August 7 (closed July 3)
  • Location: Mt. Pleasant Community Center
  • Ages: 12 – 15

Tennis Camp

  • Duration: June 1 – August 14 (no camp the week of July 4th)
  • Location: Butler Springs Park
  • Ages: 4 – 17

Camp Spearhead

  • Duration: Due to health concerns we will not be having Camp Spearhead in 2020.
  • Location: Pleasant Ridge Camp & Retreat Center
  • Ages: 8 and up

Camp Kaleidoscope

  • Due to schools being closed through the summer we will not be able to utilize Bell’s Crossing and Brook Glenn Elementary Schools and thus we are forced to cancel Camp Kaleidoscope. 
  • Locations: Bell’s Crossing Elementary and Brook Glenn Elementary
  • Ages: 6 – 11

  • Duration: April 5-9, 2021
