If you compete in at least four (4) of the races, you will be in contention for the series awards in your age group. After the final race of the year, your four best results will be tallied. Awards will be given to the first place male and female in each age group. Athletes who complete all seven races will receive a unique prize!
The age groups are: 14 and under; 15-19; every 5 years to 74; and over 75, males and females.
Your age on December 31, 2020 will determine your age group for the entire 2020 Dirt Series season.
The Points System
The first 8 finishers in each age group, in each race, will earn points as follows:
- 50 points
In the instance of a tie within one age group in the points standings at the end of the year, the athlete who had the most 1st place finishes within that age group will be awarded the higher place. If 1st place finishes do not break the tie, the athlete who had the most 2nd place finishes within that age group will be awarded the higher place, and so on through 8th place, if needed.
