Shoeless Joe Jackson Memorial Park
This historic park, located on Greenville’s Westside in the Brandon Mill Community, honors Greenville’s rich baseball history with an 8 acre, lighted baseball facility supported by green space, a playground, and shelter.
History: Once part of a thriving textile mill complex, the original park/ball field was home to mill workers who played baseball and competed against other mill leagues across Greenville County. Shoeless Joe Jackson grew up in Brandon, played for the mill, and is eulogized today as one of most talented players in major league history.
Greenville is also home to the Shoeless Joe Jackson Museum and Library. Click here to visit the Museum’s website.
