Bike Skills Flow Park
Located at Gateway Park – 115 Henderson Drive, Travelers Rest, SC 29690 .
Gateway Park, located behind Sunrift Adventures in Travelers Rest, is on track to be the next mountain biking destination in Greenville County. The Swamp Rabbit Trail travels right past the Park at Mile Marker 24 (Sunrift/Gateway) and Mile Stencil 24.1/.2 (Henderson Rd). This is the best way to get to the Flow Park!
In the Summer of 2011, Trail Dynamics, Upstate SORBA, & Greenville Rec came together to build the first park feature – a high thrill, low risk pump track – next to the baseball field in the northwestern section of Gateway Park. This initial flow feature loosely follows a free figure-8 design and allows for multiple riders to ride at a time. Bikers just getting started will have a chance to get the hang of off-road biking and get comfortable with the sport before heading to Paris Mountain State Park (SC) or DuPont State Forest (NC) . Experienced bikers will appreciate some of the more challenging features and the chance to hone their bike handling skills right in town. >
