How many teams are currently registered in my division?
Registration runs from July 1 – August 23, 2024. Registration closes once the daily capacity has been reached or on August 23, whichever comes first. Players can sign up for one division each day.
Registrants are required to list a partner at time of registration. Both partners must pay the registration fee before a team is added to the tournament schedule. Failure to register at the same time as your partner will result in the first registrant being placed on the waitlist until their partner registers.
Adaptive wheelchairs can be reserved during registration for those who require one on a first come, first-served basis.
Scholarships are available for those interested in playing in the Adaptive Mixed Unified division. Email adaptivepickleball@gmail.com to see if you qualify.
If an athlete cancels any of their registered divisions prior to August 23, a refund will be issued minus a $15 administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the August 23 change & cancellation deadline. Refunds will not be issued if a) you are registered for 2+ divisions and are cancelling 1 division prior to August 23, b) changes are made to a player’s registration after August 23 that are outside of injury, sickness, or other unforeseen emergency circumstance, or c) there is inclement weather and, as a result, a player’s division is unable to be played.
After August 23, a substitute partner must be declared to tournament staff for the team to remain in the tournament. The substitute partner must be of the same skill level & age division as the person they are replacing. Failure to do so may result in the team being dropped from the schedule & wins by forfeit awarded to opposing teams. After August 23, a substitute partner will assume the registration fee paid by the original partner. Substitute partners must commit to replacing the original partner for 100% of all scheduled games. A second substitute partner is not permitted once the team’s first round robin game has begun.
There will be no dedicated makeup day for matches that are cancelled due to inclement weather.
Matches that are postponed due to weather may be rescheduled on the same day. Registrants who no-show for re-scheduled matches will forfeit those matches and, as a result, are not eligible to receive a refund.
Matches that are cancelled due to weather will not be rescheduled. Registrants will not be issued a refund for cancelled matches.
Stay informed about match postponements & cancellations! Follow Greenville County Rec on Twitter (@gcrecfields). Or, sign up for inclement weather text updates through the CodeRED mobile app by texting “gcrecfields” to 99411 and selecting option #2 under Additional Notifications.
